In its advisory issued Friday, the meteorological department indicated that while the first week of May will continue to witness heavy downpours in several regions, conditions are expected to improve considerably during the second half of the month.
“The outlook for May indicates that the second half of the month is likely to be drier than average, implying the cessation of the March-April-May 2026 rainfall season,” the department stated in its forecast.
