ODM Delegation Pays Respects at Burial of Former CS Aisha Jumwa’s Mother in Takaungu

TAKAUNGU, Kilifi County – A high-level Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) delegation joined mourners in Takaungu, Kilifi County, to pay their last respects during the burial of the mother of former Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa.

The delegation, led by ODM Deputy Party Leader Dr. Oburu Oginga, included Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho, who traveled to the coastal town to stand in solidarity with the former CS and her family during their time of bereavement.
The mourners were received by Kilifi County Governor Gideon Mungaro, who also serves as the ODM Kilifi County Chairman, alongside hundreds of residents who gathered to honor the life of the departed matriarch.

Speaking at the ceremony, members of the delegation extended their heartfelt condolences to the Jumwa family and the broader Takaungu community, acknowledging the profound loss experienced by all who knew the deceased.
The occasion underscored the power of political unity and compassion transcending partisan lines, as leaders from across the political spectrum came together to support one of their own during a difficult period.

The gathering served as a poignant reminder of the importance of solidarity and communal support in times of grief, values deeply embedded in Kenyan cultural traditions.
The family has requested privacy as they navigate this difficult time while expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received from leaders and the community at large.
