The department’s lead, County Executive Committee Member (CECM) Mohamed Hussein Amadoh, is appearing before the assembly to detail the progress, challenges, and next steps in the critical initiative aimed at resolving land ownership issues in the Kiziwi area. The appearance underscores the county government’s commitment to addressing complex land tenure matters and bringing clarity to residents.
The Kiziwi Land Regularization Process is a key project under Governor Abdulswamad Nassir’s administration, intended to survey, plan, and issue title deeds for parcels of land that have historically been caught in legal and administrative ambiguities. The program is central to the county’s broader agenda of securing land rights, promoting planned urban development, and unlocking economic potential for residents.
“The appearance of CECM Amadoh before the honourable members is a testament to our commitment to transparency and resolving the longstanding land issues in Kiziwi,” a source from the department stated. “The Executive is ready to provide a full account of the work done so far and the roadmap to completion.”
The process is expected to bring significant benefits to the area, including:
- Formalized Land Ownership: Providing residents with legal recognition of their property.
- Stimulated Development: Enabling landowners to use their titles as collateral for loans and to make improvement investments.
- Enhanced Urban Planning: Allowing the county to implement structured development and service delivery in the area.
The appearance of CECM Amadoh is being closely watched by Kiziwi residents, community leaders, and developers who have a vested interest in the outcome of the regularization. The County Assembly’s role in scrutinizing the process is seen as a vital step in ensuring accountability and public oversight.
Stakeholders await the official statement from the County Assembly following the session, which is expected to shed more light on the specific timelines and deliverables for the finalization of the Kiziwi Land Regularization Process.
