KUCCPS Reopens Portal for KMTC March 2026 Intake: 31 Medical Courses Open for D Grade and Above
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened its student placement portal for the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) March 2026 intake, giving KCSE candidates who scored Grade D and above a fresh opportunity to pursue careers in healthcare.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, March 3, with KUCCPS confirming that 31 medical courses under the health sciences cluster are available across multiple KMTC campuses nationwide. The portal closes on March 13, 2026, giving applicants a narrow window to secure a place.
Who Can Apply?
This intake specifically targets two groups: students who applied during the January 2026 intake but were not placed, and first-time applicants who have not yet been placed at KMTC. Any KCSE holder with a minimum grade of D plain is eligible to apply.
KUCCPS framed the reopening as part of a deliberate effort to widen access to medical training and respond to Kenya’s growing demand for qualified healthcare workers.

Why This Matters
With Kenya’s public health sector facing persistent shortages of trained medical personnel, opportunities like this carry real weight. KMTC remains one of the most accessible and credible pathways into the healthcare profession for students who may not qualify for university-level programmes, offering government-recognized diplomas and certificates that open doors across both public and private health facilities.
For students who missed the January intake or are applying for the first time, this is a critical second chance — and with just over a week until the deadline, time is short.
