By Feddy Madebe
JOMVU — Jomvu Member of Parliament Hon. Badi Bady Twalib has officially opened a new office for Alpha and Omega Community-Based Organization (CBO) Kenya at Bangladesh Slums, marking a significant milestone in grassroots community development efforts.

The MP presided over Wednesday’s opening ceremony, which brought together community leaders, CBO members, and stakeholders committed to social transformation in the constituency.
Foundation-Backed Initiative
The office was constructed through the Badi Twalib Foundation, demonstrating the MP’s ongoing commitment to supporting community-driven initiatives. Hon. Twalib emphasized that the facility represents more than physical infrastructure, describing it as a center designed to provide hope, empowerment, and opportunities for area residents.
The new office will serve as a hub for programs focused on education, youth empowerment, and positive social change within the Bangladesh Slums community. The facility is expected to enhance the CBO’s capacity to deliver services and implement development programs more effectively.
Women’s Empowerment Network Contributes
The ceremony was attended by Amina Abdallah, Director of the Mombasa Women Empowerment Network, whose support played a crucial role in completing the project. Ms. Abdallah made significant contributions to the initiative, including donating a computer to the CBO and providing financial support toward the office construction.
The computer donation is expected to improve the organization’s operational efficiency and expand its ability to serve community members through digital platforms and record-keeping systems.
Commitment to Grassroots Development
Speaking at the event, Hon. Twalib reiterated his administration’s dedication to supporting grassroots organizations that prioritize community upliftment and transformation. He congratulated Alpha and Omega CBO Kenya on achieving this important milestone and pledged continued support for similar initiatives.
The MP emphasized that leadership involves standing with and empowering community-based organizations that work directly to improve the lives of residents at the grassroots level.
The new office joins other development projects undertaken through the Badi Twalib Foundation as part of broader efforts to address social and economic challenges facing communities in Jomvu Constituency.
Alpha and Omega CBO Kenya focuses on implementing programs aimed at education support, youth skills development, and community empowerment initiatives within informal settlements in the area.
