Jomvu MP Hon Badi Twalib Graces Weusi Super Cup Finals as Al Hajj FC Triumphs

Al Hajj FC emerged champions of the Weusi Super Cup after a closely contested final against Miritini Stars at Miritini Primary School over the weekend.

The tournament, which drew enthusiastic crowds from across Jomvu constituency, culminated in an exciting showdown that showcased the exceptional talent of local youth footballers.
Among the dignitaries present was Jomvu Member of Parliament Hon Badi Twalib, who attended the finals and later praised both competing sides for their exemplary conduct throughout the match.

“The level of discipline, talent, and sportsmanship displayed by these young athletes was truly impressive,” the MP stated following the final whistle.
Hon Twalib also recognized the efforts of tournament coordinator Said Athman and his organizing committee, crediting them with delivering a well-executed sporting event that met high standards of organization and management.
The Weusi Super Cup has become an important fixture in the local sporting calendar, providing a competitive platform for youth teams in the region to showcase their abilities.
Speaking about the broader impact of such competitions, the Jomvu MP emphasized their role in youth development and community cohesion.

“These tournaments serve multiple purposes beyond the game itself. They help identify and nurture young talent, teach valuable lessons about teamwork, and bring our community together,” Hon Twalib noted.
The success of this year’s edition has raised expectations for future tournaments, with organizers already planning to expand participation in subsequent competitions.
Local football enthusiasts have welcomed the initiative, viewing it as a positive intervention that keeps young people engaged in constructive activities while developing their sporting potential.
