The church, established through the vision and dedication of its founder, former Nyali Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Mr. Chebii, marks a significant milestone in providing spiritual support to law enforcement officers and the wider community.
Community Support and Donations
In a show of support for the new place of worship, the office of Hon. Said Abdalla, popularly known as Saido and founder of the Said Abdalla Foundation, donated 20 chairs to facilitate the church’s activities and accommodate congregants during services.

Taking to Facebook to celebrate the occasion, Hon. Abdalla praised the initiative and expressed his office’s commitment to supporting faith-based institutions. “Churches are not just places of worship; they serve as pillars that enhance our faith and foster unity in our society,” he wrote in his post.
Saido emphasized the profound role that faith and community play in society, noting that his office remains dedicated to working alongside religious institutions to uplift the community.
A Vision Realized
The establishment of the Nyali Police Station Church is credited to the initiative of Mr. Chebii, who served as the Nyali OCS before his transfer. His vision to create a dedicated space for worship within the police station compound has now been realized, providing officers and community members with convenient access to spiritual guidance and fellowship.

The church is expected to serve not only police officers stationed at Nyali but also their families and members of the surrounding community who seek a place of worship and spiritual growth.
Commitment to Community Development
In his Facebook post, Hon. Said Abdalla reaffirmed his office’s commitment to supporting religious institutions and working collaboratively to uplift the community. “We are committed to supporting the church and working hand in hand to uplift our community,” he stated.
The Said Abdalla Foundation has previously been involved in various community development initiatives across Mombasa County, focusing on education, health, and social welfare programs.

The launch of the Nyali Police Station Church adds to the growing number of faith-based initiatives aimed at strengthening moral values and promoting social cohesion within law enforcement agencies and their surrounding communities.
Church leaders present at the ceremony expressed gratitude for the support received and called on other stakeholders to contribute towards the church’s growth and sustainability.
