MOMBASA – Hon. Mbarak Bashatir, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Kisauni Constituency in the 2027 elections, has issued a strong vote of confidence in Mombasa County’s Lands Executive, Hon. Mohamed Hussein Amadoh, commending his dedicated efforts in tackling the region’s complex land disputes.

In a public statement, Bashatir expressed his profound gratitude for the Minister’s work, stating that his leadership has “brought new hope to the residents of Mombasa.” He further emphasized that Amadoh’s initiatives have already begun to significantly reduce the long-standing land conflicts that have plagued the county.
“Hon. Amadoh has demonstrated courage, transparency, and a genuine desire to serve the people,” Bashatir stated. “His efforts are making a tangible difference, and we are beginning to see a major reduction in land-related conflicts.”
The aspirant’s endorsement comes as a significant show of political support, highlighting the importance of land justice as a central issue for the constituency. Bashatir directly addressed the Lands Minister, whom he referred to as “my brother,” with a message of solidarity.
“Do not be deterred by anyone, young man. We are behind you; continue with the good work,” Bashatir urged. “Our goal is for every person to get their rightful land justice!”
This public commendation underscores the critical nature of land ownership and tenure security in Mombasa, particularly in densely populated areas like Kisauni. By aligning himself with the Minister’s reform agenda, Bashatir positions land rights as a cornerstone of his own platform ahead of the 2027 elections.
The statement signals a collaborative approach to local governance and sets an expectation for continued and intensified action from the County’s Lands department in resolving historical grievances and ensuring equitable access to land for all citizens.
