Wave of Grief as Mourners Collapse Viewing Raila Odinga’s Body
Grief proved too much to bear for some supporters, who fainted and collapsed as they viewed the remains of their beloved leader, Raila Odinga at Mamboleo Stadium.

Kisumu residents who turned out in large numbers to view the body were overcome with emotions. Some who couldn’t bare the pain collapsed just after seeing his remains.
Medical and security teams deployed to handle the surging crowds however intervened and helped control the situation.

Footage obtained by Yeiyo Media showed a number of mourners lying on the ground as paramedics led by the Red Cross helped.
A number of mourners who tried to breach security while causing chaos made the situation even worse.
The family has announced that his burial which will be held in Bondo will continue tomorrow as planned.

The family has urged Kenyans to be patience and give Baba a proper send-off. A number of mourners have already arrived at the family home of the former PM.
