8 Bills signed into law by President William Ruto.
President William Ruto on 15th October 2025 signed 8 bills into law. The signing of the bills into law has not sat well with some Kenyans some saying the timing seemed ill intended.
On his X account President William Ruto wrote,
The bills signed into law by president William Ruto are;
- 1.Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Amendment Bills – Gives the government the power to block or remove websites and Apps that are a threat to National security. Anybody found sending messages that may cause any form of psychological harm or instil fear may face a 10-year jail term or a Ksh 20 Million bond.
- 2. Privatisation Bill – Controls how the government sells shares in state-owned companies.
- 3. National Land Commission (Amendment) Bill – This Bill allows the Land Commission to review past land allocations, manage compensations for those affected by government projects and handle land disputes.
4. Land Amendment Bill
5. Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill
6. Air passengers service charge amendment Bill
7. Wildlife Conversation and management (Amendment) Bill
8. National Police Service Commission (Amendment) Bill
These bills are now law. The reception of these bills however faced criticism from members of the public mostly the X users.

Today former prime minister Raila Odinga received a farewell send-off at Nyayo stadium. President William Ruto was in attendance.
